Unfortunately I’m now having to work late Thursday so have taken my name off Dom G’s car and swapped to Dan’s. Hope that’s ok. On the off chance if anyone happens to be leaving earlier Friday and has a spot I would be keen for that for maximum crag time!
@HollyP are you still doing a dry shopping delivery? if so, could you get for Sunday brekkies
- 4 loafs of bread (large with 10+ slices per loaf)
- 15 tins of beans
- 60 eggs
- 2 tins of instant coffee
- 2 x 40 bags of tea
- 1 pack of sugar
- brown sauce and ketchup
I will get the cold stuff. let me know if that works. if not, I can get all of it on Friday I’m sure. The Saturday crew will let you know what needs adding from their side (@MattGee)

After a lot of frantic WhatsApp messaging the food plan looks like it is almost there!
Thanks to everyone for volunteering, or agreeing to pick stuff up. Just a note on the breakfasts, going to be mixed veg-non-veg due to numbers, more veggie stuff in the cottage on Sat morn. Roughly expecting a 25:20 split between the barn and cottage.
Let me know if there are any changes, currently assuming the dinner cooks would be back to make a start on cooking around 6:30 or 7:00?
Obviously benightments on the Saturday may change dinner plans

• Sun - Cottage - @LydiaL and @LIon - Covered by Juliane’s order
Sat Dinner:
• Veggie dinner - @Swill_Fully - 8 people, shop being arranged with Dom
• Pudding – @Sarah_Rae - Lottie to assist, dairy on Rob’s shop and dry added to Holly’s order
• Meat dinner - @Sophie - 38 people (two no gluten?) Gareth A. to assist plus others, shopping details tbc. with Will

Hi. There are 3 bottles of brown sauce in the cottage already. Also on the shelf of marvels is about 3kg of granulated sugar. And there is communal tea and instant coffee, at a guess upwards of 100 tea bags and a medium jar of coffee, so could get more of the latter in as a reserve.

I checked and in the cottage at least 20 rolls. Good idea to buy some for the barn, where guests take their own and so there is not usually a communal store.,

Hi, so we’ve had a bit of an issue here and got a flat tyre on the motorway! We’re just waiting for the recovery van to come along but we’re not far out of London so we may be arriving in the wee small hours of the morning
Oh no! Hope you get it fixed quickly!
So, not great news. The AA man couldn’t fix the tyre because the bolts are damaged so we’re going to have to be towed back to London in an hour.
I’m going to have to give the weekend a miss sadly because without much sleep I’ll fail miserably at climbing, but the others might still come if the car can get fixed in London first thing.
I’ll ask one of them to let you know when they know what the plan is.
Good news from us, we got the car fixed and are on our way up now. Will, Natasha and myself aboard, as well as the food for dinner tonight. We do need to organise a new chef though, as Sophie had to drop out after last night’s ordeal…
