Awesome.
Happy to take the lead on this pasta project, sounds like a well polished route without too many exposed moves and a high chance of success, low in the grade, I’d say.
What do you think @MattGee should I just grab a load of pasta, cheese and vegetables and assume buy-in or should we ask for numbers??
Nice one Geoff. I think check for buy-in first, in case anyone wants to do their own thing. The forecast for Sunday pm is the worst so some folk might want to be elsewhere?
If people are NOT in for a communal pasta on Sunday evening, please say so!
Hey, Sam and I might meet my uncle for some food Sunday evening, just waiting to hear back this morning, what time do you need to know by?
Don’t mean to be a Debbie Downer but the Peak has the worst forecast in the country for this weekend….
Keen on the pasta and happy to be the sous-chef!
Depending how wet and miserable Sunday afternoon is, I might do a dessert. Assuming Nisa or any shop in Hathersage will be opened…
Planning on bringing my dog unless anyone is adverse ?
Rich
Hey, Sam and I won’t have the communal pasta on Sunday. Most likely seeing my uncle Sunday evening, if it falls through we will sort ourselves out food.
Hi Geoffrey, that’s great, thanks! Slight twist to my travel arrangements…what time you driving up this evening and would you have space for me for the outbound trip?
Olly is not coming to the meet now - while I could drive myself it’s better to share, is there any chance you could pick my up from Hemel on the way up? I can probably park my car somewhere closer to the M1 in a residential area.
If you get a chance, could you What’sApp me on 07860 553 984 to spare this thread, that would cool. I can be at Hemel any time from 4pm onwards based on today’s work diary.
Hi Geoff, I’ll bail on the pasta as generally don’t eat carbs. Will bring a leftover meal for myself for Sunday - microwave job to save kitchen contention.
Hi All, I’m going to bail, I’m afraid. It looks like a fair amount of wet weather up there for a lot of driving, one leg of which is 1 car:1 human.
@FrenchMatt you are promoted to head chef! (Sorry pal x).
@Adam_Craig sorry to lose you a lift, if its any consolation I would have had to leave earlyish on Monday anyway (annoyingly, the best day weatherwise) and coming from Somerset wouldn’t have been an option for your outward leg.
No worries.
If anyone else able to offer a lift from Hemel M1 junction 8 this evening, and back Monday evening then please let me know, otherwise I’ll make the effort and drive up myself for the social/possible climbing/definite curry!
Happy to help cook in Geoff’s absence, but can you trust me if I’m not eating it?!
No problem, Rich’s dog is super cute
We’ll sort out dinner on Sunday as the poor forecast should give us plenty of time to shop and whatnot. Assessment of numbers then. My Sunday plan would be hit Foundry (bouldering) or Awesome Walls (leading)!
Or bouldering at Raven Tor as there’s always something dry there to try
Yeah but what grade is it!?
Is is Sean grades with Sean beta?
admitting it wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea.
I’m going to head to the Wye tomorrow. May join you guys on Monday if the weather is acceptable.
Don’t pull too many blocks off
