Hey, do you have Any examples of easy routes to look up?
Rock routes
This is the local campsite crag, itās OK
Alpendurst on the Jegihorn is an easy and well bolted multipitch
https://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crags/jegihorn-4023/alpendurst-71210
Thereās two other slightly harder routes there which Iāve not done and which Iād happily go for with anyone. There also seems to be a small crag the other way from the ski lift station
Thereās also this crag which I only just noticed, it looks a bit of a drive mind, 40 minutes to the ski lift.
Mountains
The normal routes on the following mountains get low grades:
Alphubel - East Flank, PD-, but does involve extensive glacier travel
Allalinhorn - WNW Ridge, F+, but does involve extensive glacier travel
Lagginhorn - WSW Ridge, PD, minimal glacier travel under drier conditions
Weissmies - SSE Ridge, PD, descent via WNW Flank is glaciated
Hope this helps.
Perfect thanks
Aww, thank you for the leg work! Very useful!

@Rufus_Lawrence - As requested, here are some of the topos etc. that I found:
Climbing:
climbing - WeissmieshĆ¼tte (Jegihorn topo)
Climbing crag ā AlmagellerhĆ¼tte SAC (Dri Hornli)
https://weissmieshuette.ch/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/topo-klettergarten_laggin.pdf (Laggin Kletter)
NB canāt find Feechi topo but found this German blogpost with a photo of the topo sign:
Sportklettern im Saastal ā allgaeu-plaisir.de
Alpine routes:
These UKC features from Ben Tibbets are a bit old, but have useful topos and detailed route descriptions (It looks like it might be too early in the season for the Lenzspitze-Nadelhorn traverse):
Summitpost has a lot of useful route descriptions and some topos ā Mischabel group link here: Mischabel GROUP : Climbing, Hiking & Mountaineering : SummitPost
Hut websites also sometimes have topos and route descriptions.
Swiss government maps are also really useful:
Hope this is of use!
Great stuff, thanks Ian.
Fwiw I think with conditions in the Alps being the way they have been, mid June is not a bad window for the Lenzspitze Nadelhorn travā¦
No worries!
it will be in condition. Weāll have to wait and seeā¦
I recommend this book, but it does only show the 4k peaks
Finally sorted a few bits out and added myself to the spreadsheet
Just found the Feechi topo here: https://www.saas-fee.ch/fileadmin/user_upload/documents/Klettern/Klettergarten_Feechi.pdf
And this one as well: https://www.saas-fee.ch/fileadmin/user_upload/documents/Klettern/Klettergarten_ZurKapelle.pdf (might be near the campsite?)
Zur Kapelle is on the path from Saas Grund up to Saas Free which starts at one end of the campsite, so yes, very close.
Feechi is around the corner from the campsite.
I suspected that the crag and campsite would be close together as both locations mention a chapel . Thanks for confirming my hypothesis.
Which campsite are we aiming for?
