I presumed Campingplatz am Kapellenweg as I’ve used them before, good facilities. There’s one called Camping Schönblick but it looks slightly further from the lifts and shops.

Question, is there a good public transport available to the campsites?
That is in case one had no car for the day of departure.
I actually haven’t been there before, but have done some research, and Switzerland is quite famous for its comprehensive (but pricey) public transport.
To answer your question, absolutely there is public transport straight from the campsite to the airport. That’s how I’m planning to travel to/from the campsite. There is a PostBus stop called Saas Grund Zenlauinen (Sp?) Really close to the campsite. You then get to Visp via PostBus and from there, you get the train to Geneva or Zurich Airport. Check out the times for your route on The SBB online portal for timetable, trains and public transport or you can download the SBB app.

I’ve reserved camping space for me at Camping Kapellenweg, it’s quite easy using the form on their website (don’t email them, it doesn’t appear to work!). You get a confirmation that translates thus:
Thank you very much for your inquiry.
We would be happy to reserve a parking space for you from June 15th to June 23rd, 2024.
If you would like, you can register using the following link.
We look forward to your visit and wish you all the best in the meantime.

Etc.
And you then need to fill in the registration form which will require your passport details.
