I am one of the 52 and I am happy - indeed more than happy - to put up a tent beside the barn or cottage and sleep in that. Especially as I just got a new tent and would like to test it out.
As mentioned before I am happy to help with breakfast arrangements and it does look like I’ll be driving over alone so am happy to bring all the ingredients especially to save the non-driving Matt G from having to cycle home with a 70l rucksack filled with bacon and sausages and bread rolls
Nice one Kenny. I have committed to cooking breakfast for the populace of one (1) building on one (1) morning (Saturday) so will calculate likely sausage/bacon/egg/rolls requirements and outsource as appropriate.
You can knock it down to 50 again - a friend is visiting on the Friday night so myself and Jess not going to make it after all.
Probably a minor relief, on a number of fronts.
I’ll be sleeping in my van. Sweet dreams everyone :o)
That’s a shame dude.
I think Catrin and I planning on bringing a tent too
there is also flat space next to the shed now for camping, as well as the grass areas by the Cottage and in front of the Barn.
Are you planning on having a team on every route in the Pass?
That’s an awesome idea @chizharward
some solid goals!
If I turn up for running/climbing I’ll happily pitch a tent somewhere appropriate
Unfortunately, I will have to join the deserter group.
Shame, I would have loved to be there…Have a great time!
Sorry Holly, Peter and Dave for any inconvenience in sorting lifts but at least I free up some space in the barn
Camping. There never has been a problem with people camping but bear in mind officially it’s not allowed except on what is our property, which doesn’t include the area in front of the barn so if in the highly unlikely event of someone from the National Park wandering past don’t be surprised if they moan about it.
Hi @mikedlr I hope it’s ok to come up with you Thursday
Please feel free to be in touch by text about timings. I’ll be coming from South London but can meet wherever suits you!
Hello! Quick call out in advance of final details: we still need a chef for Saturday to help Katy with the carnivore dinner. Also please could someone(s) offer to make pudding (veggie friendly ideally).
The veggie dinner should ideally not contain dairy or wheat please. Or have an easy alternative. The carnivore dinner should avoid aubergines, mushrooms and courgettes.
Please can all the breakfast/dinner volunteers coordinate with each to sort out who is buying and bringing what: @MattGee @Dan @robertpirouet @Sarah_Rae @katy_c @LIon @anon15237327 @johnw1
Thanks!
Hi folks. I’ve got a car problem and won’t have it running in time for the meet which means that Mattia and I are looking for a lift. Any spare places?
Also means I can’t pick up food.
But can still help with the cooking @katy_c
Hi Holly, you can put me down for doing pudding on Saturday. I’ll do some veggie friendly crumbles. Thanks!
Hi @HollyP. It was great meeting you and @L_Pio earlier. As already mentioned I would be very interested to join your new members meet if this is still somehow possible. Could you please put me on the waiting list?
Yep, going up Thurs, earlier the better. 2 seats available (Hillingdon UG pick up) but probably staying on and wandering down to S.Wales for the following weekend.
Hi Everyone -
Thanks @HollyP for organising - have added my details on the spreadsheet.
I was also hoping to join the weekend. I’ll be in my van so won’t need bed space. I’ll be heading up on Thursday lunchtime, working from the cottage/van on Friday daytime then heading to Yorkshire on the Sunday early/mid afternoon.
Happy to to a big food shop though if you need me to (with loads of space).
Cheers
Matt
Weather is looking a little tricky this weekend so the camping situation may be slightly more tenuous than anticipated…
I’m planning to leave from West London around 4pm on Friday and I’ve got an empty car if that helps you? Planning to come back Sunday afternoon/ evening.
