Virtual Drinks - Monday 21:00

Yes I think so - sounds a bit stale but in my humble experience ends up better than trying to prop your phone up all the time and gives you more screen real estate to see who else is on the call.

If you can cast / link into your TV even better…

(Phone will work for avoidance of doubt)

Thanks all - that seemed to work well enough to consider as a regular slot

Happy to administrate

For those interested put a hold in your diary for this Wednesday say 2030 for experimental Virtual Cinema. I’ll start a separate thread for neatness

Thanks @GarethA; that was a great idea.

All -

Link below to click on for 2100 virtual beverage tomorrow Monday 6th post exercise (if you’re not on the paracetamol). I’ll ping around on whatsapp tomorrow.

Pleae note - I think a recent security update has forced the use of a password to join a meeting - at least it’s the only option I am being presented with, so have it to hand (below).

Again, those who have indicated interest have found themselves on a whatsapp group primarily for sharing / getting access to virtual meets as a back up. If you’re not on it and want to be my number is 07989 359438.

Happy sunday

Gareth

Best ‘amateur’ grit vidya I’ve seen since Shock of the New. CAUTION: watching may cause lockdown depression.

Unless you hate grit…

Folk still want a quick virtual drink on Easter Monday?

Happy to do so this end

Should be there as well.

Great speak then. Bring, oh I dunno, something to talk about!

@GarethA

Link for Monday nights.

Have set up as recurring so in theory this same link should work each week

Thanks for the chat last night. I got ridiculously restelss thinking about Dolomites and leafing through the guidebook after the call… Today I am checking out my logbook and the photo albums

Check out me as the tiny orange dot in this photo. Easy climbing, mega mountain feeling, it is the 6th pitch a mere VI (5c-6a Fr grades) on the chilled Buhl’s Direct on Ciavazes https://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crags/piz_ciavazes-3948/buhl_direct-131015

It is on the same wall as the Route of Friendship, a bit to the left.

Hey -

Good to see you last night. Your email lands in the middle of the most boring “webex” training webinar thing I am obligated to watch, staring out at blue skies. Real cabin fever hit today.

I’m glancing up at the walking guide on my shelf as I type.

Can only offer a photo of the old speed weapon in the Dolomites near Canazei in exchange

It would be hugely confidence-building for me to do some multipitch sport at lower grades so great to know you have some great suggestions.

Looks like you had a fab day there!

Loved the flowers by the way – fantastic. Now we’re going to have to look at the name of all the ski runs in the three valleys thanks to Max!

Have a good day

Nice. Sass Pordoi in the background?

No don’t think so this was taken on Passo Sello evening time so fair to assume looking west, Pordoi is just iummediately east of this position. Best guess is eastern or western bit of that Rosengarten area (if that’s the right name). The roads were empty I probably didn’t hang around that long to orientate

Was asking Kris actually but thanks…!

Whoops

Yeah, well spotted! That’s Podroi west face which looks amazing but always wet… When it’s in condition, this is certainly on my list to get scared on:

Looks amazing but scary! The Rockfax ‘only’ has the Fedele and Dibona routes, sculpted by the very same waterfalls that make the damn thing wet all the time!
