Spring working meet '25

Hi everyone, the next working meet is nearly here.

If you’ve not been before it’s a great chance to meet up and get the properties looking good and running well for the coming months. Hopefully there will be time to get some climbing in on Sunday so bring gear.

Dates: 22nd 23rd March

As usual the club will be providing breakfast and a communal meal on Saturday evening to reward is for all the hard work. Bring food for lunches though.

This time we will be finishing the work on the drying room, doing some painting and repairing some of the exterior woodwork on the barn as well as doing the usual maintenence work. There will be plenty of jobs for everyone.

Hi everyone. Would someone like to volunteer to do the cooking on Saturday evening? If maybe a couple of people would like to be in charge of it and buy the food. Obviously, keep receipts and Jess will pay you back.

Given my DIY skills are unlikely to be very useful I’m happy to sort the food. Is there a budget per head?

Don’t know if there is a budget but please don’t make it all veggie.

Not really, just don’t go crazy! There’s only 11 of us.

Breakfast is usually just toast, eggs, beans, bacon/sausage or halloumi.

Some kind of curry, pasta or chili for dinner? Meat and veggie options. We can always fill in some shopping during the day as Betws is so close.

Oh lovely, not seen Bob for ages! 12 of us then. Weather currently looking climbable Sunday. I imagine John, Peter and Rich will bring ropes’n’racks, Lottie and I can bring one between us too.

I think I’ve got everything for breakfast and dinner, and I have a big milk so we should be all good.

So I think all we need is a couple of willing volunteers to help us carry it up!
