Places are strictly limited to 22 people. We only have use of the cottage, not the barn too, so everyone will be sleeping in the cottage unless you make other plans. If the meet is oversubscribed we will prioritise new/prospective members who have not been on a meet before.
If the meet is oversubscribed we will also need to ensure we have enough suitably experienced members around to take new/prospective members out.

NB: if you are new to the club you will need to climb with us on a Monday evening at the Castle before the meet, so we can ensure minimum safety skills are met.

Excited for this!
Think spreadsheet is read-only though
Edit: working now thanks

I’m new to London & the club but would love to join something like this! How do I contact you to join at The Castle? Show up next Monday & ask around?

By all means come on Monday evening to the Castle, yes. We’re usually around from 6ish in the upstairs lead area.

Do we park by Bryn Glo?

Indeed!
For drivers who don’t know the area, you need to park at the Bryn Glo, go through the gate and hike up following the path. The first building you will see is the barn, you need to carry on along the path and up to the cottage.

What3words for the parking is : ///flagpole.banks.increases

Yes.

The meet is this weekend! And the weather is looking good for Saturday at least!

Transport: the responsibility is on each person to sort out their lift to North Wales. Most drivers have put their mobile numbers on the spreadsheet to facilitate this, anyone else can send a PM on this forum if needed.

We will need volunteers to make breakfasts and diner!

Breakfast each morning and dinner on Saturday are traditionally communal in the cottage, so this is your chance to wow us with your culinary skills. Each meal will need a veggie/vegan option. Please see the spreadsheet for details. Curries/chilies have been working a treat in the previous years!

For people buying food for breakfast/dinner, please note the following conditions apply if you want to be reimbursed by the club:

  • cost per head should be no more than £2.50 pp per breakfast / £5 pp for dinner (ie £10 pp total for the weekend)
  • receipts should be clearly photo-ed and sent to Jess (Treasurer) within one month of the meet. The club will not be able to reimburse money for receipts that are missing/lost/late unfortunately.
So, please keep things minimal/budget version where possible.

Looking forward to see/meet you all!

Thanks for organising Matt - really excited for this trip. Happy to make a daal to contribute to dinner on Saturday night.

Thanks Zak! A Dahl would be great and maybe we can do another curry.
Would anyone else suggest a dessert maybe?

Are people happy with eggs/toast and/or porridge for breakfast?

If my mini speaker is still there can you put in the drawer under the window if possible please.

Yes, will do!

Matt, Id be happy with porridge/eggs on toast for breakfast and it could speed-up proceedings, which could help us all get parking spaces by the crags.

Thanks

Agreed!

Just remembered the rope I thought I’d bring has been chopped to indoor length. I haven’t replaced the halves yet. But it looks like enough ropes between us all anyway?
