PROGRAM

K2: Chasing Shadows

Directors: David Arnaud & Hugo Clouzeau – 66 min
Benjamin Védrines, one of the world’s best alpinists, dreams of taking on the “savage mountain” — K2 (8611m). After a serious accident during his first attempt, he returns with even greater determination and a bold plan: to climb K2 in one day, without supplemental oxygen, and paraglide down from the summit. A gripping and thought-provoking film about ambition, risk, and the true meaning of success in the high mountains.

Just a Climber

Director: Jérôme Tanon – 26 min
Watching Solenne Piret climb is pure inspiration. Born without a right hand, she has always forged her own path on the wall. A four-time world champion, she now takes on a new challenge: leading the legendary Grand Capucin in the Mont Blanc range, while placing her own protection. A moving story of determination and grace in the vertical world.

Better Up There

Director: Mathis Dumas – 45 min
The mountains give us so much — but they can take everything away in an instant. This intimate portrait of Léo Slemett, freeride world champion, explores the highs and lows of his journey: from childhood dreams to tragedy, resilience, and rebirth. A powerful lesson in passion and perseverance, told through stunning cinematography.

Zahir

Director: Julien Nadiras – 30 min
Climbers Katherine Choong and Eline Le Menestrel take on one of the hardest big-wall routes in the Swiss Alps: Zahir. With several pitches graded 8a and 8b, the challenge is already huge — and they make it even greater by travelling only by bike. A joyful and inspiring film that celebrates adventure, friendship, and sustainable exploration.

Don’t miss this unique celebration of mountain culture, where extraordinary stories, breathtaking landscapes, and human adventure come together on the big screen.
