It is with sadness that I report the death of Jack Wrightman, one of the original NLMC club members from the 1950s.
Those who knew Jack may wish to view the webcast for his memorial service, which takes place on 13 April.

That is very sad news. I met Jack often at the cottage, and he was something of an inspiration to me. We shared a profession as well as a love of the mountains, and he was always very encouraging to me in both.

super sad news. i too have fond memories.
That’s really sad news. Like Harri, he was around a fair bit when I joined the club and was definitely an inspiration - still joining in with working meets and whisky drinking.
I have some very fond memories of Jack.
Jack’s family have reached out to us and confirmed donations are being accepted for the Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation (OVMRO) if people wish to make a contribution.
