Climbing partners in August

Hi

Would anyone like to go climbing for a few days the week before the 60th (the period 30th July to 4th August) or in the week commencing Sat 13th through to Thursday 18th August?

Something like 2 or 3 days in the mountains or on sea cliffs.

I too would be interested to climb in Pembroke for the week after or before the meet (13/14 Aug).

Hi,

Could be a good trip coming together.

My bucket list (if that is the right word? ) is mainly in N Wales, so dependent on summer returning. Some stuff I’d like to try in the pass, first time to Cloggy or do one or two of the main cliff or Wen Zawn routes at Gogarth.

A weekend in Pembroke is always good too.

Potentially I can do two trips - 2/3/4 August (which is midweek)- N Wales?

I can get away the evening of the Friday 12th, back Sunday or Monday- Pembroke?

I could do both trips too and like all your locations; if the conditions
were right, Scafell Buttress would also be on my tick list.

I’m fitting it around a family holiday so is likely to be the dates indicated above, but not that actual weekend.

Still looking for another 1 committed to the dates before the 60th (2,3,4 Aug) to join Khalid, Peter and I. In all likelihood we’ll be in North Wales

The second weekend (13th / 14th Sep) happily coincides with the club’s planned Pembroke meet so hopefully we’ll get a good group together and there will be lots of lifts available.

Can’t really explain why, but I’m keen to do this en-route: Exposure Explosion, HVS. Ogmore Main cliff.

Hi Max,

If that last space is still up for grabs in N. Wales on the 2-4th I’d be

Hi Max,

Yeah I’d love to make up the 4th person if there is still space on this
one. However, I’m heading up to the lakes on the Wednesday so would only be
able to join in for the Monday and Tuesday in N.Wales.

I live up in Leyton but would need to bring my own car due to onward
journey. Very happy to give anyone who needs a lift on the way up if
timings suit.

Hi Max,

I did Exposure Explosion on Boxing Day 2005, really great adventure especially if the waves are crashing. The first pitch is a down climb and then a long and pumpy traverse to a final top out pitch. I remember being gripped by the situation in a couple of places as my arms started to give out but you also get a fun cave belay and some airy steps
