Thanks guys it was great to see so many familiar faces in Acquafraggia. Fun times in the campsite and up in the mountains!
Did someone leave an emergency thin foil bivi bag? Still in the campsite hanging on the fence.
I could bring it back.
That’s less interesting than the story about who and why someone used it!
Oopsy yes that’s ours thanks Khalid! If you could add it to the pile that would be great…
To keep warm at the bottom of a route waiting for the snow to stop
You’ll have to come up with a much more believable tale than that.
Oh David, Guy and Catrin aren’t even in contention for the Catrin Nichols Unplanned Alpine Bivouac Award this year - two other parties thus far are streets ahead. Jess and I also still have two days from the Gianetti hut in which to enter the contest.
Excellent. A very worthwhile competition (for the onlookers, at least).
Thanks again all for another top trip full of silliness including inappropriate marmots (always watching you), inappropriate Sagars (goddamned tinned fish) and bivvies for everyone. Came back via Nouveau Gueberschwir https://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crag.php?id=3074 which is worth a look in if you ever happen to be near Colmar (which you won’t be unless you really really like white wine and people who can’t decide if they’re French or German).

Quite a trip!
Well done Guy for organising.
Next up, Devon…
Not to mention awesome paragliding 5000 feet above Lake Annecy!

Well Peter, at least you tried
Maybe too many photos for my WiFi to handle in one go!?
With much delay, here’s my pictures from this awesome trip: https://www.flickr.com/gp/128986666@N03/a224x9
Since 90% of my shots have @johnw1 or @PaulSagar, I had to filter them out a bit, but will later upload another set, of interest if you’re John’s or Paul’s mum or girlfriend.
Amazing, especially the Albigna valley scenes. Couple of outdoor catalogue poses from @guyarnold there
Brilliant @Ladislav thanks v much! They’re amazing pics
Indeed they are. Well done.
Splendid.
Could do with a few more of me though.
