Who is planning to climb tomorrow? Was going to climb with Tim but he’s not coming until evening now.
I’m in town sleeping in a car park. I’ll roll up tomorrow and try to find everyone!
@johnw1 I’d be down for something, even if it’s just some craggin’
I’m arriving lunchtime ish. Let us know where you go folks. Hoping to climb tomorrow.
Should arrive early afternoon, in Colmar this morning
We have a reserved area almost opposite reception. Cars have to go in the car park after unloading. Our tent is already up.
Richard, what about those of us who sleep in our cars/vans? Do they let us sleep in the car park, or should we just sleep outside the campsite (ie for free) if we’re going to be segregated anyway?
Not sure what will happen about that. There is an area close to our spot but I don’t know if that will be ok. You will have to see when you arrive. Sorry I can’t be of more help.
The van will be ok.
Cheers!
You’ve probably heard by now… my departure has been, shall I say, unfortunately delayed.
Healing well, so hopeful I’ll be able to join you at the end of the week and will be around the 2nd week if any of you are doing a couple of weeks and don’t mind me tagging along.
Have a great week everyone!

AGM awards gold
Sounds positive Max. Hope you can make it as soon as. …
Massive thanks to @guyarnold for organising an amazing week in Italy/Switzerland! Also huge thanks to everyone else for their advice and support leading up to and during - it was a huge learning curve for me climbing on granite slabs with exposure (and learning how easy it is to smash my phone while heaving myself up a chimney…).
Hope you’re recovering well @Max_A
Looking forward to hearing everyone’s limericks (@PaulSagar currently winning).
Thanks holly.
Hope everyone enjoyed (or is continuing to enjoy) the trip.
Looking forward to seeing @Ladislav photos!
Here are some of mine
There once was a girl called Holly
Who suffered from terminal folly
She went up a peak
And up there she did speak
YOU FUCKERS ARE ALL OFF YOUR TROLLY
Behold the rare alpine Yug
Possessed of the grace of a pug
Up the hills he did go
To tramp through the snow
Where Catrin did give him a tug
Khalid and Tom did ride the send train
Up the Spazzacaldera again and again
But the north ridge descent
It made them hellbent
To never abseil again
Thanks for organising Guy. We had a good time. Now in little valley near Aosta.
I recall a chap named Grange
Whose behaviour was rather strange
Upon a rock he did sit
So down he could spit
Upon any poor marmot in range!
Richard, with a little adaptation your comment could be transformed into a haiku
