Bregaglia Meet 6-14 July 2019

As I have to spend the weekend looking at candidate files for a job appointments panel I’m on, and marking late submitted dissertations, I for one hope it rains EVERYWHERE.

I’m up for longer mountain routes this weekend- could work really well,

Will

i hadn’t looked. Still optimistic for the weekend, it’s going to change :crossed_fingers:

If you can wait a weekend Max then Catrin and I are planning to practice longer mountain stuff the weekend after this one?

Guy

maybe, though will start to run into a number of weekends when I would be away in a row and I doubt I’ll be allowed the family pass for such a bonanza.

Jess and myself also planning to go to the Hut weekend after this.

Weather permitting I will also be heading to the Dolomites afterwards for at least another week.

I’ve messed up my attempt at organising this pre-meet sorry everyone!

I am actually not around next Monday and it looks like that option has the most votes (oops).

How about we meet Monday after next (17th June) after the castle? For those that can’t make it I will be around at Mile End this week and the week after to discuss logistics etc.

Tutu - if you’re not around then I should have time next Monday to pop into the castle to say hi and discuss plans etc.

Guy

Following Monday for pre meet works for me.

The 17th may not work for me; Weds 19th at Mile End would work better…

I can’t make it on 17th or to Mile End. Bummer. I think I really need to know what’s going on, particularly as this will be my first mountain trip. Can someone take notes please or somehow relay everything by email?

I should be able to make 17th after the castle.
@MattGee whereabouts in the Dolomites are you heading to, Arco?

Don’t know yet! Sorry. Depends largely on where Kris is and it might be last minute decision.

17th June works for me

Ok sorry all for messing this up.

Let’s do Monday 17th. I will also go to Mile End to chat to Peter on the 19th.

@HollyP I’ll try and grab you at the castle next Monday 10th before I have to shoot off if that’s OK? I can get to the castle for 6ish? Then catch up again if anything comes up post the 17th. @Peter if you can get there too that might work.

Thanks Guy that would be great

I’ve been pretty quiet on here waiting for my plans to congeal.

Good news: MY VAN RUNS! I’ll be leaving on Monday 1st and driving down over the course of a couple of days. Happy to offer lifts to anyone else living a life of leisure, and can offer one way gear carrying.

I was planning on climbing with @Miguel_Aguirre but he’s now uncertain about his ankle so might be looking for a replacement buddy.

Also, (@Tutu) I’ll be hanging around in the mountains for a while, hopefully dolomites for a bit and then off to ceuse to see if i can tick some 7’s. Back up to the UK for the 14th August.

@Tom_Blake can I dibs you in case Miguel can’t come? happy to do 7s! otherwise I always end up without a climbing partner… I can probably leave on any day and stay until whenever, as long as I can figure out where to charge my laptop. Would also be keen on Dolomites, Céüse or French Alps. I’ll be even more flexible timewise after July 21st when school hols start!

@Tutu and @Tom_Blake, Jess and I are heading to the Dolomites after. We will aim to do some long mountain routes and via feratta, but also some days just sport cragging. We should co-ordinate on locations.
