Great fun last night on the new comp wall set plus a little bit of leading to get our heads in gear for the new season.

Thanks for kicking off last night's NLMC Castle evening Khalid- really good fun! Even though NLMC climbers often go to the Castle on a Monday, it's easy to assume they're just doing there own thing- having more of an organised start time seemed to bring the group together.

Also, perhaps actually having a North London Mountaineering Club night in North London is less confusing for new members? I wonder if the Club's name attracts North London-based climbers, who are then put off by a Wednesday evening commute to Mile End. Maybe if we could get a Monday evening routine grooved, this could help?

Anyone climbing tonight? I’m going to head down to the castle for about 7.30 if anyone’s around… I have new shoes so am keen to find out if NOT having my big toe poking through my shoes makes any difference to my climbing?!

Yesterday evening was fun. Good to see you guys again!

For future reference, I’ve created a WhatsApp group to make meeting at the wall easier.

Ask either me, @bullopolis or @owrehleeoh to add you to the group.

This can happen for other meets since they happen on different days.
