# Suggestion for Lakes meet next year in Langdale

I’ve just been on a Peak Climbing Club meet to the Lakes where we stayed in the [Lancashire Mountaineering Club hut by Blea Tarn above Langdale,](https://lancashiremountaineeringclub.online/the-loft-hut-details/) This is a \<10 minute drive above the Old Dungeon Ghyll pub in Langdale, so is a great location for Pavey Ark, Bowfell, Gimmer, etc.
The hut is pretty basic - like a single-room NLMC Barn with no mains electricity but with no walk-in :-). It has 12 alpine-style bunks in one room that is also the kitchen and dining area, with a single outside toilet and only 12V LED lights (but has gas heating and stoves). It worked very well. A possible location for a club meet next year?

Great idea David. Climbing in Langdale is amazing but the accommodation there is pain.
