Sounds good!
This app might help if Iain’s new guide doesn’t arrive in time. It is mostly based on his old PDFs and the odd updated one: https://comforting-kringle-e9a317.netlify.app
You can book either a Hygge seat, a 2 birth or a 4 birth cabin - cabin doesn’t cost much extra on top of the ticket. Liverpool overnight ferry gets my vote.
I’m happy with that too. Looks like potentially four ppl coming up from London: me, Hugh, Oli and Peter? We could potentially book two cars, pencil in two ppl in each for now, then there’s room for more to join later? WDYT, were others thinking of driving? I am happy to drive.
I am in and happy to drive. I can comfortably fit four people with their gear, should that be preferred, but happy either way.
Are people going to sleepy Hollows?
I am happy with whatever the group prefers - 2 cars from London with space for others to join or Peter’s car with 4 people in it. Cabin sounds like a good option either way
I’m keen to come, but from Abergavenny. Could leave my car in Liverpool.
Which campsite are people going to?
I’m super keen for this trip. I’m based in Welwyn Garden City but can be wherever for pickup if carpooling was an option. I’d like to get to Gola if at all possible. What are people’s preferences in terms of locations for climbing for the duration?
Would someone please tell me which campsite will be used.
Hi all, just back from the alps and catching up. Sleepy Hollows are holding space for us, but will want exact numbers and a deposit to confirm once we’ve got a final list of people - I suggest we try to get that locked down at the weekend? I’m happy to sort deposits and booking with them. https://sleepyhollows.ie/book-your-visit/camping
travel wise, looking at the above am I right in thinking we’ve got two cars of two going from London so far (Roland, Peter, Oli, Hugh)? I’m happy to drive too if we want one more car but am in south London so fly/drive-ing does cut a couple of hours off the journey for me at either end - if anyone wanted join a third car going via Derry or Knock.
Yes, me from London. I’ll need a lift if we are going via ferry.
Playing around with the ferry pricing, it looks like the car is the expensive bit and the humans quite cheap. So maximise people per car as much as we can.
Hi folks, we don’t seem to have progressed our plans; what’s the best way for us to make a decision on drivers, passengers, collection points & collection times that works for everyone. We could really do with deciding this soon, so that we can secure the ferry & sleeping cabins. I usually collect from Oakwood tube Stn, the penultimate stop on the Piccadilly Line; who would that work well for?
Hi Peter
I can meet you wherever / whenever. My read is that we can fill your car from London: you, me, Oli and Hugh. Would you be happy to book the crossing/cabin once all confirm?
Roland
Hi Roland, yes I would.
All good for me, thanks Peter!
